Spring Ridge Elementary School opened September 6, 1995. The school stands on the site that was once part of Tulpehocken Farms. Spring Ridge is 77,000 square feet and can house approximately five hundred students. The halls are wide and there is plenty of natural light throughout the building. There are nineteen regular education classrooms for grades kdg – 5, 3 Kindergarten classrooms, two Learning Support rooms, two Autistic Support rooms and a Child Care room. The school also contains a cafeteria, gym, art room, vocal music room, science room, computer lab, Library, band and instrumental music rooms.
The bell located in the tower in front of the building came from the former West Lawn Elementary School. While there are many office buildings surrounding the school, there is also open space with baseball and soccer fields that are used by the school and the community. Spring Ridge Elementary School is a very appealing community school with an eye on the future.
