Students will gain an appreciation of the richness, diversity, and contributions of African-American culture to the United States. They will develop a knowledge of important people, events, and ideas, that have played a key role in shaping the history and culture of African-Americans, as well as, the United States of America.
Additionally, students will explore the current narrative for African-Americans across the country and develop a knowledge of struggles and successes along the way.
