Wilson School District Aquatic Programs
Wilson School District wants to provide plenty of opportunities for its students and members of the surrounding community to take full advantage of the 10-lane x 10-lane (25-yard x 25-yard) pool, which was renovated in 2014. That’s why the WSD Aquatics Department offers a variety of water activities at the Roy G. Snyder Natatorium located in the Lower House of Wilson High School on the main campus of the district (2601 Grandview Blvd., West Lawn, PA).
The water temperature is kept between 78-81 degrees during the fall, winter, and spring. Chlorine levels are maintained between 1.5-2.0 with a pH level between 7.4-7.6 and provide multiple ADA-approved water accesses to create the ideal swimming experience. If that isn’t inviting enough, a heavy focus was placed on providing the best possible air quality for both participants and spectators. To achieve this, the district installed a brand new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning) System as well as the Paddock Evacuator System, which helps control air quality directly on the surface of the pool. In addition, the renovation project incorporated updates to the sound system, women’s locker room facility, a new off-deck classroom, and a family-friendly changing room.
Although the Wilson School District is always looking to add more opportunities, current aquatic programs include:
- Youth Swim Lessons (group)
- Age Group Swimming and Diving Team
- Aqua-Aerobic Classes
- Adult Lap Swimming
- Masters Swimming and Water Polo
- Recreational Swimming
- Red Cross Courses
- Water Polo Opportunities (all ages)

Natatorium Capacity Policy
The Wilson School District works closely with our local officials to ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, and the community. Due to the fire code, we need to follow our total capacity regulations for all of our facilities. The spectator capacity limit for our Natatorium is 620. We will be monitoring this capacity limit during all events occurring throughout the Water Polo/Swimming seasons. If we would reach capacity at any time during an athletic competition, we will be required by the fire marshall to close the Natatorium to spectators. Should we reach capacity, we will be providing a viewing opportunity for families and guests by live-streaming all events in our cafeteria, which is located in close proximity to the Natatorium. Thank you for your cooperation with this important step to ensure that we are providing a safe and secure environment for all athletes and spectators.
