Welcome to the Wilson School District Transportation Department

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year. We look forward to providing busing to those students who qualify to and from our schools daily, as well as on class trips and extracurricular trips.

The StopFinder App is the method of communication for all busing information, including bus stop location, stop times, bus number, delay notifications, or beginning-of-the-year busing information.  Minor bus accidents with no reported injuries are also reported through this system.  If you have not registered for the StopFinder app, please email gracola@wilsonsd.org and request a registration link for StopFinder.  Once registered on Stopfinder, you will see all busing information for your student(s) and receive all updates and notifications regarding your student(s) bus in real time. To ensure you receive those notifications, please ensure your phone is set to accept push notifications for the Stopfinder App.

The StopFinder App is updated daily in real-time update mode and always includes the most recent information regarding bus schedules. Therefore, StopFinder is your best source for all transportation communication!  An overview of our communications process is outlined in the link below.

The Transportation Department is responsible for the safe, daily transportation of approximately 4,200 students attending Wilson School District Schools and local Non-Public schools within 10 miles of our School District boundaries. These tasks are handled by our driving staff of fifty-nine (59) Daily Route Drivers, nine (9) Substitute/Trip Drivers, three (3) stand-by drivers, and ten (10) School Bus Aides.  Additionally, we have eleven (11) Crossing Guards at various intersections around the School District to help keep our students safe daily walking to or from school.

Two (2) full-time mechanics staff the Wilson School District’s maintenance facility, which is fully equipped to perform all required maintenance and most repairs to our vehicles. Additionally, our mechanics are certified to perform Pennsylvania State Inspections on all School District Vehicles, including bi-annual State School Bus Inspections.

Do you wish to have access to your student’s busing information or even be able to get alerts when the bus is a set distance away from pickup or drop off?  Our new StopFinder App is the tool for all busing access.  Attached are some links on setting up geofence alerts and reviewing your student(s) busing information.  This is a free service being offered to all our student’s families.  Again, if you need access to your student’s information, please contact Colleen Gray at 610-670-0180, ext 1232; she will send you a link to set up this app on your smartphone.
