Requests for Proposals / Bid Information
Unless exempt by statute, the district solicits bids for services and supplies which are expected to be in excess of $23,200 effective January 1, 2024. Current open bids are listed below. Bid packages (in “pdf” format) can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding links. Vendors are required to adhere to instructions contained in the bid packages.
Sealed bids must be received by the appropriate person/department within the district, per bid instructions, no later than the date and time specified. Submitted bids that do not meet all requirements stated in the bid packages are subject to rejection.
In addition to bids located on this site, the district also participates in the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) joint purchasing program. Vendors who are interested in the BCIU joint purchasing bids should contact the BCIU by phone at 610-987-8596 or by email at ericle@berksiu.org. ESSER Funding Information
Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)/Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding is allocated in three separate fundings, each of which must be accounted for individually.
- All school districts are eligible receive ESSER funds through multiple federal Coronavirus Relief Acts
- Funding is a formula based on the number and demographics of a school district’s student population
- ESSER funds include rigorous reporting requirements and must be tracked separately from any other funds
Funds may be used to:
- Plan for and coordinate preparedness and response efforts to COVID-19
- Purchase supplies to sanitize and clean LEA facilities
- Plan for and coordinate operations during long-term closures
- Purchase educational technology for students
- Provide staff and student mental health services and supports
- Plan and implement summer learning and supplemental afterschool programs; address learning loss among students
- Initiate other activities necessary to maintain LEA operations and services and employ existing LEA staff
